Smokey eyes? Big wig lashes? Glitter girl? Chestnut or dilating pupils? I wouldn’t blame you if you can’t make up your mind for your prom. Looking good is like cramming for your exam, except that you would love it half the time. . . . . .if there were less choices! Ha, I bet you have already see the whole picture.
Sitting down with your girlfriends picking the kind of hairstyle and eye make-up you want is not that hard if you have a guideline to go with: Let’s just make it a tat easier by using the golden ratio (refer to attached video). This is actually so simple that by using the method demostrated by Jimmy, you can accurately enhance your imperfections with the help of make-up. Yes, it means research on how to look like a prom queen. You decide if it’s easy.
Well, at least if you are choosing your own eye make-up and believe you can perfect it, always have an example to refer to, and take a picture of yourself with full make-up when you are done to see how the foundation and colour look digitally. You wouldn’t want to look like a ghost in the keepsake picture! Nope, that’s not an insult for wrap up; it’s for making sure you have those anti-reflecting eye-concealer and the right foundation fit for picture taking
Following the above guideline will keep you safe for the basics, otherwise, if your a go-getter girl, go for the loudest make-up, if you can flaunt it ;) To wrap it up, look at how sexy Deb looked on her prom, and she chose smokey! Look who’s hot! 0_O

Here’s 3 Cheers to forever Splendid looking Taylor Swift! She’s always caught in the A List of Perfection, from her Make-up, Hair-do, everything up to the right dress and shoes, not to mention those well-esembled accessories!
No wonder her parents are so proud of their gem! All thanks to her parents in picking the right places to move to, for her starry career ![]()

Yep, I couldn’t believe she’s done it! I personally like watching Megan Fox on screen, she’s really gorgeous to watch, but she had a plastic surgery done. Okay, so her way of speaking receive comments such as “stupid” and “The reason why all girls hate Megan Fox“, is not an astounding news. On the contrary, her before-plastic-surgery shocked me more. Hmmm, now we all know how to get more beautiful… …I mean, how Megan Fox looked before her plastic surgery. That sure done wonders for her Red carpet career.
My verdict? I still like her. Things could be worst. Now, at least she has got a hot bod to match, and she’s voted Top 10 of the hottest female celebrities under 25! What’s there left to complain about?!
Megan Fox is beautiful! ;D

After Laundry Service and Oral Fixation 2 plus all the latino albums she has on her sleeves, Shakira now gives us She Wolf.
And I say WOW! In fact She had started wowing audiences since she was seven when she joined a group of belly dancers in a Middle East restaurant for anyone who could stop long enough to watch her. Clear enough, her fluid and sexy dance movements proved we love Shakira for her.
Already knowing her new album is named She Wolf, I was rather surprised to see her appearing in a suit a la Lady Gaga at the beginning of her Official Music Video, then my eyes popped when she begun Madonna moves. I was totally stunned when she re-appeared in a cage in a skin teddy suit that faunted her delicious curves! Oh, not to mention those a la Madonna gymnastic moves too. The next scene made my jaw dropped as she appeared like Marishka ( Josie Maran - one of Dracula’s wife) from Van Helsing leaping Paula Abdul-like modern dance bounces. Hmmm, well at least she looks really gorgeous and her make-up was natural. Yeah, just cant get off the Marishka celtic hairstyle ;p After finishing the MTV, I was in a good 3 seconds daze, LOL, I mean, what a Music video!
Okay, at least it spells Vampire… …oops, alright, Vampires and Werewolves were relatives :p kind of! It’s just this primary, basic animalistic (er, cannibalistic?) urge that women have inside, as she quoted “Not only sexual pleasures” in one of her hot gossips. Ya, we got it. Something else that She does in her closet when her partner was sleeping.
To sum it up, the shocker was actually addictive! Her MTV stayed in my mind and I woke up blogging about it. I’m sure we all agree more with her She Wolf suit over the piece of rug on her. Yea, give us more Shakira!
When it comes to finding a Make-up artist, women are usually worried of sticking their foot in the mud. As a fact, ‘Good’ make-up artists can be easy to find, if you follow these Golden rules to perfection.
Rule #1 You pay for what you get
In Singapore, there are make-up artists who are willing to provide an evening make-up for a miserly $30, hopefully, please do no’t expect to look like $50 or more. It simply justifies the $30 deal of cheap cosmetics and re-used applicators. Well, they may be washed, but that amount you just paid for definately can’t cover the expense of any quality 99.9%-germs off sanitizer for the applicators to be clean enough. So how do I justify “clean”? It’s more than a soap and water procedure. Oh yeah, Thanks for the reminder, I’ll remember my new applicators and keep an eye that the Make-up artist uses them when she’s doing my make-up - that’s what you think. Hah! Remember DEMODEX??? Sounds familiar?… …refer to my previous Skin Medicine aka Natural soaps blog on the dangerous Demodex. Besides, other bacteria stays in the cosmetic she uses for her clients. Oh, have I mention how “Lucky“ are her clients to have settled on such a great bargain? The best part is Demodex multipy and causes ezcema. Remember the cheap manicure that left you with rashes all over? Well it’s the same with the hidden dangers of the dirt-cheap price you paid to hire a Make-up artist.
Rule #2 Emphasize on hygiene
After Rule #1, just double check when phoning a professional on how frequent he/she cleans his/her tools and sanitizes all those products he/she is using on her customers. As a rule of thumb, they should be sanitized immediately after use on each client (I use a sprayed-on sanitizer) and all tools and applicators should be soaked and washed then sanitized after a day’d assignment. Responsible Make-up artists should provide their clients with individual sets of applicators and not re-use them. It’s also common for Professionals to have more than one set of tools as a stand-by. Remember: Your are not being difficult, you are protecting yourself and maintaining the professional’s reputation. In fact, you are doing him/her a favor.
Rule #3 Prepare for the better, not worst
Get off that couch and do some research on make-up and hair profiles interesting to you. Email make-up / hairstyle profiles to the professional(s) or cut out swipes from the magazines to show them best before the actual day. This way, your Make-up artist / Hairstylist can decide if your hair should be semi-dry / dry from the start, and the amount of products you use on your face / hair. If it’s a theme event, check what your colleagues / family members bosses etc are wearing so you won’t be caught having to face awkwardness looking like twins with the other person. When you are visualizing the different combinations of profiles you have at hand, you are at the same time preparing yourself for the better, not worst! In this case, you can perfectly transcend your ideal look to the Make-up artist / Hairstylist. That will leave extra time for you or the Make-up artist to look for accessories that you need to perk up your look.
Rule #4 Be open to advices
Being open-minded is what saves you most in the worst case, for the experts are experts for many reasons, so consult and heed advices given, there’s not always ample time to prepare, and shortcuts are made for that reason. do your homework (refer to Rule #3) and the rest will be a breeze!
Rule #5 Expect an incredible experience!
Yeppers! This is the time you prepare for a unforgettable experience with your Make-up artist / Hairstylist and the splendid event to come, as it says, Feel abundant and be abundant! That’s the way of great living
*Are you taking advantage of your Make-up Artist? Think again.
Well, up till this point if you are still thinking that Make-up artists are trying to blackmail you, AHEM! I have been surprised by alarming (cheap) offers - talking about unfair treatment. It makes you look bad and simply insults an experienced qualified professional. To sum it up, watching a proper make-up tutorial video (Coco before Chanel make-up Tutorial is now available especially for you!) then doing it yourself is even better. Just bear in mind better-than-average / high-end make-up products are a must for best results) - Best reason for paying a reliable professional you can totally count on.
Well it’s not s bad as you thought huh… …or is it? Now which side of the road are you on?

“Before we start work, we pray and give our blessings. We talk to soap every day… …If businessmen cannot protect the people, they are not fit to talk about environmental-friendliness!”
This is an extract from the natural herbal soap brochure I am reading, today is my fifth day using the Wild Mugwort www.taiwansoap.com.tw, and gleefully, it’s solving my open-pore problem. I’m so loving it!! ;D By the way, I also got the lemon soap which instantly deodorant my bedroom; keeps me wondering when will it dissipate (from Guardian pharmacy for just $12.75, what a steal!).
Technically, I’m one hard to please skeptical person with a sensitivity radar to attract the special products to heal my problem areas. Coming back to my face, I was doing a research on the internet for eliminating skin problems and found out the skin parasite - Dermodex causes major skin problems. These parasites are present in every hair follicle and skin pore. Areas such as our forehead, nose, cheeks and chin provides the most favorable living and breeding conditions for them, with an optimum thriving temperature. They are also present on terminal hair areas, such as the brow and lash roots. These mites stab their needle-like mouths into the cells to absorb nutrition, which explains occasional skin irritations invisible to the naked eye.
Being someone who regularly bring my own shopping bag, I’m so smitten with these soaps that claim to be free of coloring, essence oil, fragrance-fixing agent, color-fixing agent, stearic acid, paraffin wax! Even the package’s printed with harmless soybean-based ink and wrapped in USA edible-grade high-polymer materials.
I have to agree I’m a critical surveyor ;P

“APPRO!” to Diablo Cody’s new blond pixicut! If you have read my wella blog on the importance on a worthy hairstyle, well; this one’s to highlight the significance of one.
Here’s Diablo Cody, aka Brook Busey.
A clap for this America Writer & Director who gave us Juno - The story of a 16-year-old who faced an unwanted pregnancy but decided to keep her child in the end; apparently, won her the best screenplay years back. Following on by the TV series, The United States of Tara - produced by Steven Spielberg, we await her next big thing: comedy / horror film starring Megan Fox, in Jeniffer’s Body. The plot?… …A possessed small-town Minnesota cheerleader who starts feeding on local boys, with Jason Reitman and his partner, Dan Dubiecki directing.
Well, she’s a decent writer now, gotta stand out and emerage fierce from her old shell (& Hairstyle) definitely! :) Keep moving!!
As promised: Coco before Chanel Make-up tutorial. In general, every make-up step in this 10 minutes video is demonstrated with professional precision - a must-watch for all beauty critics, self-groomers and make-up addicts.
Just to add that another motion picture of Mademoiselle Coco Chanel; ‘Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky’, directed by Jan Kounen with Anna Mouglalis as Coco chanel is on it’s way too… …Oh, the anticipation!
By any means, Enjoy the tutorial
In addition to my earlier blog on Max Factor, I’ve decided to make an unquestionabe tribute he deserved.
Not only did he had one of the world’s biggest Hollywood studio that went into the Guiness record, the studio had four Make-up rooms namely: ”For Blondes Only” - decorated in prim coats of blue, followed by vintage terracotta for brunettes, soft peach for brownettes, and lastly, mint green-”For Redheads Only” room.
His invention of the Beautymicrometer stirred up tabloids on newspapers
Looks kind of disturbing, but there was no pain involved, the expression of the human model was simply an exaggerated result of her poor weight-endurance level.
and a Newspaper report of his prediction he had fore seen:
“The March 5, 1959 Daily Mail (Hagerstown, MD) ran an Associated Press piece titled, “Thomas Quotes Max Factor On The Woman Of The Future.” Factor predicts, among other things, the extensive use of cosmetics by men of the future. The entire article appears below.
HOLLYWOOD .) — Fifty years from now, a woman of 50 will be just as alluring as a girl of 20.
That is the fearless prediction of Max Factor, head of the cosmetics concern that is celebrating its first half-century.
“When my father started the company in 1909, women scarcely used cosmetics at all,” he commented. “They pinched their cheeks to give them color. The only ones who painted their lips were women of questionable repute or theatrical types - and there was little distinction between the two.
“The movie stars helped us spread the use of makeup. As the stars became popular, the public copied their dress and grooming.
“Gradually, the use of makeup became almost universal among women. Now girls start wearing it at 14 or younger instead of waiting until they are 18.”
What about 50 years hence?
“People will be living longer. When we started in business, the life expectancy was 40 years or so. Now it is in the 70s and it will go higher. People will want to avoid the lines and sags of old age as long as possible.
“I firmly believe that in the future women of 50 years or more will look as appealing as girls of 20. We are keeping in touch with scientific experiments in Europe on youth-giving cosmetics.”
Factor also foresees the extensive use of cosmetics by men 50 years from now, and for the same reason; to keep young. Men who live longer will want to work longer; hence they’ll need to avoid looking aged. Among the Factor predictions: A pill which will forestall the graying of hair.”

Here’s The star of Hollywood’s Make-up Pioneer who made modern women decide what make-up they use today :)
The inspiration he gave me!.. …I promise to do a Video tutorial on Audrey Tautou’s look, as seen in Coco before Chanel.
